Jack Lawton Artist Bio
Straight from Montana to the old “Palookaville,” and pulling from a catalog of songs written over the last twenty years, Jack Lawton sings the story of the cosmic cowboy and the old soul of the West. Metal sculptor, actor, and skydiver are all hats Jack has worn at any given time, but consistent throughout his life in Santa Cruz county has been his roots, his voice, his songs and a guitar.
In the style of Lyle Lovett, and well… if Honky Tonk Steely Dan were a thing, you get rhythmic edges meeting word play. This act walks the line between contemporary and traditional artistry. Laying down the bedrock is local bass legend Daniel V. Lewis.
A musician’s musician, Daniel brings heartfelt rhythm and soul to Jack’s original songs. Jack sings of loves lost, loves gained, good times with an occasional tear in your beer. All the songs will make you feel.
